Quilts to Share is the service group of Keepsake Quilters Guild.
We make nap size quilts for hospice patients and dialysis patients as needed. We contribute quilts to other stressful situations in the community. We raise money in a variety of ways, selling used magazines and books, small irons, and things we make to help pay for supplies.
One of our special projects is to send quilts to wounded service people through the Quilts of Valor organization.
Each quilt we send out has this note pinned to it.
To Those Who Have Given of Themselves for Our Country:
We want you to accept this quilt -- knowing it was made by people who care about you. We know you have been living in a stressful situation. It is our hope you will feel the warmth we have in our hearts for you and your family.

Note received:
Dear Keepsake Quilters Guild,
On behalf of my son, Wesley T. Williamson, and myself, I want to send you our heart-felt gratitude for the quilt given to my son. He was wounded May 9, 2008 in Baghdad, sent to Germany, Walter Reed in Wash. D.C., and then to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonia, TX. I cried when I read your note pinned to the quilt. Your care and warmth at this time have helped to sustain us in this stressful time. Yes, we do feel your living hopes and care for us. Thank you each and every one of you.
With all of our hearts full of gratitude, Claudia Williamson - Albuquerque, NM and Wesley T. Williamson, San Antonia, TX
Thank you
